Flat Terrain Walks
Join us for weekly sunrise, sunset and twilight walks, facilitated by a personal trainer, in Mulligan’s Flat Nature Reserve and the Harrison/Franklin parkland area. Autumn Packages are best for experiencing sunrises and Spring Packages for sunsets. We explore other Australian nature reserves and national parks during our local monthly Sunday “Walk/Ruck Connect” sessions and interstate Day Escapes.
Flat terrain walks are 90-105 minutes in duration (~8-10km) with “Walk/Ruck Connect” sessions covering twice the distance (~16-20km). Our walks are paced fitness walks (~10 minutes per km), not leisurely strolls and are designed to boost fitness, build connection and keep you moving. We maintain a steady, purposeful pace to keep the session flowing for everyone. Our walks are intended to elevate your heart rate and improve your endurance. We walk on flat bike paths and local trails, so there’s no mountain climbing or hill walking – just safe, varied and enjoyable routes without heavy traffic.
Walking in groups, particularly in the dark or out in the bush is much safer (and more enjoyable) than walking alone. Our personal trainer carries a first aid kit. Sessions do not run during inclement weather, however, opportunities to make up missed sessions are offered where possible during Company Standdowns. You are required to dynamic stretch prior to the walk to prepare your body for movement and conclude with static stretching to support your recovery and flexibility.
Walking with a group isn’t just more fun, it is also safer. You have the reassurance of company, the motivation of shared goals and the consistency of a set timeslot. Whether you are returning to exercise, looking for a low-impact training option or wanting to increase your daily movement in a safe, supportive environment, walking is a great way to stay active and connected.

Outdoor Activities
Research shows that time outdoors can strengthen the immune system by lowering stress hormones, increasing natural killer cell activity and enhancing the body’s ability to fight illness. Whether attending a Day Escape, a Rucking session, a Flat Terrain Walk or foraging for foliage for a Floral Wreath Workshop – being surrounded by trees and fresh air awakens your senses and boosts your immune system. Your personal trainer will invite you to breathe deeply and connect with nature, supporting both your physical health and sense of wellbeing.
